ASX 300 Company ($200m+ revenue)

Corporate and operational audit and risk review in accordance with ASNZ 4360:2004 Risk Management and ASNZ 7799.2:2003 Information Security Management. Forty-nine recommendations were made to guide the company in strategic business protection and improve security of information, assets and key personnel.

Later engaged to assist in the company's response to a workplace manslaughter incident. Advised senior management in areas of liability, police and worksafe investigation process, legal strategy, learning opportunities in reputation protection, recruitment, crisis management, business continuity, and liaibility exposure reductions.

Property Management Company ($150m under management)

Policy and guidance report to educate senior management on best practice security principles,  introduced e-learning for staff induction and criminal history checks as part of recruitment. From 50 staff appointments, two were averted due to a high risk of dishonesty.

Later engaged to assist in response to a violent armed robbery against three staff and lost earnings. Staff and management debriefed, armed robbery procedures reviewed and updated, physical security review conducted, and armed robbery safety training implemented for 100 front counter staff to reduce future liability exposure and improve staff safety against workplace violence. Previous armed robbery training was demonstrated to have minimised the impact of this event on the staff involved, who were able to return to work with minimal down time and business recovery was highly efficient.

WA Local Government ($50m+ revenue)

Cash management audit and risk assessment on thirteen cash handling facilities and examined risk of theft (all types), fraud and armed robbery. The audit resulted in 15 recommendations to significantly reduce the risk of cash loss, limit workplace liability claims and enhance staff personal safety. We also specialise in Community Safety Plans.

Later engaged to conduct an Organisation Security Audit across all security functions, roles and responsibilities, physical security systems, infrastructure and technology, security services contracts and arrangements, security risk assessment, budget allocations, and previous security related events. Sixty recommendations were made to guide the council in policy and strategy development, physical and environmental security, access control, information classifications, personnel security, business continuity and compliance. 

Education (800 students+)

Physical security review of all facilities, administration and storerooms, with additional guidance and options for the installation of CCTV according to available budget and planning requirements. Comment made pursuant to the School Education Act 1999 (Security Standards), Privacy Act 1988 and the Occupational Health and Safety Act 1984. The report made recommendations to reduce and mitigate the risk of burglary and other crime risks.
